gas furnace

my hot water heater went out last month, now my furnace seems to be on the fritz.....

it keeps running, even when the temp is well above the setting.....i took the cover off the thermostat and gave it a good cleaning, not really sure what else to try....

FAN SWITCH IS STUCK....cut it off and after ur sure its cooled down just go rap on the side of the heater....It should cut off ..

gas....seems like a minor problem, but my home improvement skills leave much to be desired

start simple, replace the air filter 1st, should be done every few months, if that is 5 years old, couldbe it right there.

I just finshed 26th in the 200K for $1000.....4 or 5 horrible bad beats or id of walked off with the whole SOB....

water heater's fine, landlord sent a plumber out to replace it.....sprung a hell of a leak.....

i'll try what you said with the furnace, seems like it doesn't happen too often, but it does have a tendancy to wake me up at 6 a.m. sweating my nuts off

i took today off, got killed last night, a few bad beats followed by some serious tilt....be grinding it out again tomorrow, look me up....

i change the filter once a month (landlord sends a guy around every so often to deliver a few months' supply for free).....

well now really that shouldnt be....the fan and the burner are 2 totally different systems...if the fan is running 24/7 it really shouldnt effect the temperture because the burner still cuts on and off as its supposed to...i suppose it would get a few degrees hotter over time.
It would be very rare for the burner to be sticking on but if you even think that it might be then call the landlord and make sure YOU tell the repairman u think its sticking....That would be very dangerous , though like i said very rare...

yeah, the whole thing runs.....and when it happens, i have to unplug the furnace from the wall to shut it off.....turning the thermostat down or off doesn't do anything
