If so what odds did you get? I have a buddy that bet them with a local and checked his figure and they were off. He said he had like 25-1 and the bm had him down for 10-1. I know the bm and would say i'm 99% sure that he has it right reguardless of what the true odds were.

I was trying to help settle their case against each other.

I bought the Saints to win the NFC at 12/1 prior to the start of this season. My reasoning for not taking the 25/1 which was available for the Super bowl was because I was pretty sure that the AFC would be favored in the Super Bowl should they win the NFC. That became the case as you could get + 170 in the Super bowl game which would give a true odds of 35/1 for them to win the Super bowl if you re-invest your NFC winnings.

tough too call true odds on futures.

I wouldn't deem 25-1 bad if 10-1 was around.

I kind of have to say if you wrote a ticket at 25-1, you should honor it.

It's not like it was 250-1, then you can claim error, perhaps ?

This should be paid, IMO !

odds vary so much on futures ( esp. if it were baseball), I can't make a good case for calling this 25-1 bad, like I said 250-1 is clearly bad.

I think this one just has to pay out, and the bookie got caught with his pants on the ground, kinda looking like a fool.... ?

No the bookies ticket says 10-1. the guy who bet says he had better. (I'm not sure what he says he had i think it was like 25-1)

I think the 25-1 is closer to the right price, but knowing the bookie he would not write down 10-1 when 25-1 was called out. Most folks know that ain't how it works. I know the bm would not cheat him.

I don't have a dog in the fight this time. Although I actually am not a big fan of the claim artist. Especially the future bet claim artist. One that is particularly hard to catch even with the tape recorder.

I just told the guy I'd ask around

Decision seems kind of prejudiced ?

No physichal ticket like if it were a horse race or such.

What evidence ? A taped bet ?

seems sketchy to me, unless either party has good evidence.

I am prejudice. I'd bet dollars to pesos that the bookie took the bet at 10-1.

I know the bm and he's as honorable as they come. I know that for a fact.

There is a ticket, but you're right its not like they both have a copy or both have it on tape.

When I said I'm 99% sure he had it right, what i meant was that i doubt the guy said give me the saints at 20/1 and he wrote down 10/1.

I would not be surprised if the bm gave him short odds by looking at odds to win NFC perhaps. That could well be what happened. Even if thats the case though if the guy said "what are the saints to win sb?" and bookie said 10-1 and he said ok give me saints to win it all at 10-1, then thats what he should be paid?

BM will end up giving the guy whatever he wants or making an agreement with him I'm sure.
