Lincecum requested $13 million and was offered $8 million when arbitration figures were exchanged in mid-January. Clubs typically win arbitration hearings, but it would seem Timmy has a pretty strong case. The 25-year-old kid is 40-17 with a 2.90 ERA and 1.15 WHIP over his first 90 major league starts and has won the NL Cy Young Award twice.
