Since i mentioned in a thread earlier this week about some medical tests i was having this week i wanted to let anyone who cared know what happened.
I have had pain in my throat going on 2 years but lately its gotten really bad.. Fearing cancer as it runs heavy in my poorly bred family.
Ckin my throat the doctor found nothing but thought i may have a mass on my thyroid gland...I went monday for MRI and yesterday back to the Doc to discuss the result. He says the MRI came back clean...no mass no tumor no nothing.....Well thats great news Doc except my throat still hurts....
He says i have a degenerative spine disease and that there has been some collapse of the bones in my neck...and these bones are now pushing against my throat causing the pain. Never saw that 1 coming...

So its off to the orthopedic dept at the Charity hospital....he says they will eventually have to go in and shave the bones to releive the pressure... Well i got news for him, knowing i dont have cancer or even a tumor is a HUGE relief for me and my family already....

So boys looks like you have to put up with me a while longer.....:howdy:

PPP, great news.

hey, im having the same issue with my throat. it comes and goes, but something always is there. i have been to the ENT and he did the camera thing and seen nothing. it is only on one side, doesnt feel like a lump, but hurts when i yawn, then swallow, or sneeze.

what were your symptoms?

I'm 35, but spine problems do run in my family. It's almost like my neck hurts, but my throat does too.

Glad all turned out well

I have this problem too; they're called anterior osteophytes. No pain whatsoever for me but I have trouble swallowing to the point that I won't eat pork, steak, lamb or anything else very chewy. Good luck if you have to get your spine shaved; that's a risky procedure.

Glad to hear you've still got plenty of miles left

I will need someone next time I drive Down Home to hopefully buy me a drink and thump me in the head at the same time.
