Josh Howard - G/F - Mavericks

The Mavericks have agreed in principle to trade Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, James Singleton and Quinton Ross to the Wizards.
In exchange the Mavs get Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, and DeShawn Stevenson. It's not clear if the Wizards plan to buy out Gooden's contract or exercise their team option for Howard next season. As it stands, Howard should get all the minutes he can handle for the out-gunned Wizards. Feb. 13

Caron Butler - G/F - Mavericks

The Wizards and Mavericks seven-player trade is official -- Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson are headed to the Mavericks in exchange for Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, Quinton Ross, and James Singleton.
Butler could still be the Mavericks' #2 option on offense, but he's joining a more talented team that won't lean on him nearly as much as Washington did. Then again, he was struggling under Flip Saunders and has a history of elevating his game after being traded. Feb. 13

Thie thread is retarded! Ofcourse the Mavs got the better end of the deal. To me, Haywood is the best piece Dallas aquired today.

Mavs got a steal. Howard is a punk, only plays when he wants too and now going to lowly Washington he'll be even worse. The addition of Caron Butler to the Mavs is going to be hugggggeeee, he's going to get a ton of garbage buckets when Dirk gets doubled.

Mavs won on this deal by a large margin...

On a somewhat related note, NBA is projected to lose $400M this year. Hard to imagine why...........
