I'm going to start trying to post some of my golf bets here from now on. Figured I might as well start with the 4th round at Pebble.

Holmes +105 ov Johnson

that sucks... Unfortunately golf isn't like other sports where it is easy to get injury reports or find out what is nagging a player. I work in the golf industry now and talk to our tour rep a few times a week so I try to occasionally find out from him who he thinks is playing good or bad. Of course I have to weigh through his biased thoughts as obviously he is going to normally say better things about the guys playing our stuff but it is good to get some insight on if one of them is having major problems.

All I can find out is that he withdrew for an unspecified medical issue.
He has A Kim in the match play next week for what it's worth.

Unfortunately, I am not going to Augusta this year. I haven't been in a few years but would love to go back. I am thinking about going to the US Open this year but that is a long way off and the week following the tournament here in Memphis which is always a big party for our office.

How about you, are you going?

this will be my first year to go to Augusta. I have been to The Players, PGA Championship and the Phoenix Open, but never to Augusta. Going for the weekend rounds, should be fun.

that sounds like a blast. If you have never been before you will be amazed at the neighborhood the course is in but once you are on the grounds it all changes and is incredible. I used to work at TPC Scottsdale so I know how crazy the Phoenix open gets so I am sure you had a good time there. Have a great time!

Here are some bets for Sunday:

Furyk +130 to win - I think he is going to hang on and take this down. Although Choi has been consistent with a 3 shot advantage I like this one.

Rose -120 ov Ogilvy - I like the way Rose is playing and think Ogilvy shot his low number today.

That was an ugly first total tourney matchup. I feel like I should only stick with the Sunday picks. Speaking of those I do have one of them which is:

Na -125 ov Curtis

well done.
I need to start posting my matchups too. Had Mickelson over Stricker earlier in the week. Cashed in with Streelman over Weekly in the final round.

Lance... you definitely need to start posting your matchups. I would love to see some other opinions on matchups. I havent been doing as well with the total tourney ones so I have been hesitant to post them although my Sunday picks I have had faith in.

It is almost like betting in game and half time lines. I seem to get a good feel for the tournament by then and I look at more motivations and guys that will push for the win or be happy with a top 10. Also, consistency within the tournament is more important to me then someone who has gone both low and high during the previous 3 rounds.
