Hi All, in past years I have laid out baseball and hockey schedules in a linear format in Excel. Is anyone interested in this?
I am getting ready to put one together, I thought I would ask in here if there is interest, and what formats people would like.

I can post it up in a couple of formats, just let me know.

Thanks, Fred

Specifically, what is a "linear format"? Is this a straight list of all events right down a list, by date?

Keep in mind such schedules get adjusted due to weather conditions, late games, etc, so the schedule will have to change from time to time.

Now that I think of it, "Linear Format" may not be the best or most descriptive term.

In the pat I have done this for Hockey and Baseball. I load up an excel sheet that has all the dates from opening day until the playoffs across the top (columns)
and all of teams along the left (rows).

it's more or less a timeline. so if you are doing one of those "system" plays you can start to clock out your games in advance in a more "visual" format.

I am hoping to get this wrapped up tonight.

Thanks, Fred

Full Schedule File

Hi, before I post the Excel file I'll post the basic database file I am using to build the excel file.
So, this is a tab seprated file scraped from Covers team pages.
it has a Date/Time stamp for the game and the home and away; ID's, Names and Abbreviations.

Fred, I've removed the Attached file until you can repost as either an xls or odt (OpenOffice spreadsheet) file.

And before you post it here, I want you to send it to me via email (barman@therx.com) so I can scan it, please

Thanks for your interest in sharing good info.
