Had a friend Move the other day......Going from NY to Florida
They started out with 20 companies, called for Prices, etc.
A couple of guys come to my friends house to give them an estimate.
Now I know that an estimate is, Just that.....an estimate !
You know, whatever the Quote is....it's going to be More.
Well, they get the Best Estimate......$3,500 for 850 cubic ft. or cubic sq. ft.
Of course they say that it might cost them another $100-$200 in Packing Materials....
They go with that Company ( because they also Include Insurance with the Quote )
Truck comes......they Load the stuff on the Truck.
Guys says.......You're going to be Over. OK.....How much over ??
Ohh, not that bad...but Let's see when it All Done.
Well, You went Over by 1250 cubic Ft !@!!! :smoking:
So that will be $5,000 MORE from Your Estimate.............^<<^
They look at the Estimate...that had Everything down to the Item, as far as What was going on the Truck.
There was NOTHING Extra........Everything that was Written down, was on the Truck.
How could that be ???
My friend calls the Boss, and says...Hey...something is wrong here and No Way I'm paying you this amount.
Well of course the Owner says, Well I'll hae to Fire the guy that gave you that quote. !! ( Yeah, Right ! )
He says to my friend...listen....Let me call you back tomorrow...and I'll give you the "Best" Deal I can.
Can't wait to Hear this line of BS
