I really didn't know what this movie was about when I rented it, but it sure is a disturbing documentary. It is about how a town in Japan is killing off 23,000 Dolphins a year in this killing pool by driving the Dolphins off their migratory path by using long poles put in the water and banging them to drive the Dolphins into this cove. They wind up selling the good ones that would appear in a Seaworld type setting and then killing off the rest for food that they claim is whale meat.
An activist that brought us the original "Flipper" series is the one behind trying to save these Dolphins.
If you have any concern about saving the Dolphins, you should watch this movie. It sure brings a lot to light about how Japan is killing the Dolphins as well as getting around hunting for whales. A definite must see!
