DO: Take Judge up on his generous offer!

Are you guys going to be staying in the San Jose area? Please advise of specific interests, and I will give you a few recommendations.

Downtown San Jose... There are some nice museums to visit downtown, but I would recommend you only visit downtown if accompanied by a local. It may not be "that bad" in terms of security, but I would recommend you not go there if not accompanied by a local just to be safe.

PM me, and I will provide you with my local phone number so we can communicate once you're here and I will help steer you guys in a safe direction, or help answer any questions you guys may have.

I hope you guys have a great time while visiting!

How is the snorkeling/scuba diving in Costa Rica? Usually my only vacation spot is Vegas, i just might change it up this year. How's the marine life out there, as far as fish and corals.

All Inclusive that I know off:

Barcelo Playa Tambor (Guanacaste Peninsula, ferry boat ride from Puntarenas)
Melia Playa Conchal (Guanacaste, by far the nicest)
DoubleTree Fiesta by Hilton (Puntarenas, beach is a dump, has good waves sometimes)

There is a lot of diving but I don't dive so I can't recommend any places.

Dont wear or carry flashy items, dont trust the locals, and dont leave valuables in the open. If I were going for five days I would probably go Montezuma/Santa Teresa. Bunch of cool little spots for just a little bit of scratch. You can rent four wheelers, see some monkeys, soak in some sun and enjoy the waves, and have a good time.

shit, really...? is it worse than the states? not that i really plan on wearing anything "flashy", besides just looking good in my normal attire. are you allowed to wander around the rain forests? and how dangerous is that lol.

You arent likely to be off in no mans land so feel free to walk around in the jungle around where you are staying, stick to trails if you want to get your gringo ass back home again.
