Betjam Nascar Contest (Please Read Post #11)

its tough to bet $100 on the race when they have nothing but drivers to win posted.

can you get them to post odds a little sooner if they are going to have the stipulation that you must bet a $100

you can only hang around waiting for the matchups to come up so long to get the 100 in as people do have family things to do. i would like to see it go back to having 100 or 200 cash bets in that day or week of the event

they will reevaluate this im sure and gets lines up eraly AM starting next week...this is getting virtually nobody extra to wager and consider betjam as a legitimate NASCAR out...too bad cause they would have dozens of $100+ wagers right now just from this board right now..

i sent betjam management a link to this thread so that they will be aware of your concerns....

I am sure they will do their best to remedy the issue, they always do

i would not say dozens my guess would be 5 or so at the most.

they also need to change the rules to only people that bet the $100 are eligible for prizes.

if its gonna be $100 required on a specific sport that is not in the normal stream of things most people bet on daily than no free loaders should be allowed in.

i wouldn't mind seeing the rule of only people playing there are eligible to win prizes myself. makes sense for the book also

dogs are tough to bet from what i can tell

i took martin at -105 against gordon that looked liked the best odds

i took martin-105 over gordon
montoya -125 over jr
burt-115 over hamlin

need more matchups to choose from and other nascar props to pick from would be great

Guys I've already spoken with someone at BetJamaica last week inquiring about the possibility of getting matchups up earlier & they followed through but there's only so much they can do.

Also, it's not just Bet Jam who doesn't have Matchups up early as I checked around the last 2 weeks and it's other books as well.
And let's be realistic here guys, there's obviously a reason for it & I don't think the lines department is going to say or think "Oh yea, we've got to get these lines up ASAP so the guys at TheRx will be eligible for their full prize!"

You guys know I'm as easy going as there is, but I need to go ahead & let you know that I did make an attempt to get these amounts changed or adjusted in this specific contest and gave reasons and examples.

Let me just say that they were aware of the complaining about the $100 in action of NASCAR requirment and not too happy about it & pointed out that this one contest this year was to reward NASCAR bettors more so than in the past & to not forget the fact that the other contests don't have this stipulation regarding the $100 in action, and that they are still giving away free money even if you don't meet that requirment.

I must admit after thinking about it longer, they have an excellent point.

NBA contest is currently running.......There is no $100 minimum action on only NBA

MLB contest is coming up......There will be no $100 minimum action on MLB

Same will go for NFL......Same will go for the 50 posters who win Fantast Football teams....etc....etc...

There will be three $600 weekly contests running at the same time here shortly with NBA, NASCAR, and MLB.
Can't we just deal with this ONE contest that STILL gives away 25% even if you don't put in $100 of action in NASCAR?

I know & understand you guys are saying that you're only asking that the lines be put up sooner, I honestly think these threads & posts are hurting more than their helping.

But cmon, you all know I take care of you in these contests in every way and you don't think that I haven't already attempted to hopefully get that changed when trytrytry brought it up in the same type of thread we had almost just like this last week?

BetJam is the best in the biz and I understand their point of view here just fine.

They hand out plenty and are great to this forum, no need to piss Scotty off bitching about one of the many free contests he offers...

the problem is most people don't bet nascar including myself

i bet 105 today on martin

i can count on 1 hand the nascar bets i've ever made in my life.

if they require $100 in action we should only be competing against others that put $100 into action.

i'm not really complaining just expressing my opinion

i will not be entering this contest most likely anymore unless the rules gets changed and thats fine with me as they offer a ton of contests that i am eligible for just by playing with them every week betting normal sports.

i give a ton of action on all major sports that most bet NBA,NFL etc

it is -EV for me to risk $100 every week on a sport i have no clue about for a chance to claim full prize in a contest with 70 posters.

You're trying to generate more action for BetJam and doing this will help, I think.
