everyone will be lapped:smoking:

That race was awful. 12 people on the lead lap? I bet ratings were bad. Thank god there was Olympic hockey on! I watch 1.5 mile tracks in 10 min intervals. Unless it's short track racing, just not the same on tv.

Which rules suck?....Your thought process for this sport has "sucked for years" is very broad and lacks reasoning but your entitled to your opinion I suppose

Big papa how many races have you gone to in person over the years and if you have seen them, have you been in the general stands or vip booths or in the pits 1st........compare nascar now to nascar in the 70/s and 80/s, the early years get the vote here sure more tv and money now but the racing was better imo in the 80 and early 90....but that my opinion and i did go to a lot of races with the Wood Brothers back then...ck

I was unable to experiance the early years first hand, as I was not around in the 70's...Started watching in late 80's...started going to races on a consistant basis in the very late 90's and have been averaging about six per year since then...

Differences of opinions to the actual racing has been all around us for years now... Older people are always going to remember the good ol days in any sport...whether its the "men were men" days in football or the pre big market teams in baseball or the short short days in basketball...times are changing and the sport has to change with it

The days of the Rum Runners and Moon shiners showing up at the track and racing each other instead of the police is over, today it is a big market competitive sport that may or may not have drifted away from the gear head fan but is still strong in its foundation and mostly southern principles

Maybe this makes sense maybe it doesnt, having a hard time describing my opinion...lol

Yes i understand what you saying here.Yes maybe i like it back when the cale, david and the king petty was running as i went to a track most every week as i grew up knowing Eddie Wood and hung out with that group a lot.The parties before the race was the most fun for me.But to me now this nascar is too much like the indy group now, too many drivers on the same team , all the cars look alike and equal to the most part. But just like all sports like you said it depends on when you grew up watching it.But i guess on the whole year i may watch 10 laps of the season as it just too boring for me now the way nascar is these days.
