37 medals and all time record I believe.. I watched as many events as I could and it seemed like you guys had medal contenders in almost every single sport.. And many of them sure came through in pressure situations. We wanted to own the podium, but we ended up renting it to you guys. Except for the Golden podium, as we were able to set a record ourselves with 14 Gold. North America truly dominated these games USA number 1 and Canada number 3 in the final medal count.
But honestly the Olympics were so much more than medals. I went to Vancouver for 4 days and it was just an incredible experience, the atmosphere was just awesome, huge crowds packed everywhere but never once saw anyone causing any trouble, meeting so many people there from other countries and getting to spend time in the different countries pavillions and houses (Holland's Heineken House...oh man!!). The Olympics got off to a rough start the first couple days, but was pretty smooth sailing after that... I would recommend to any sports fan in the future to go see an Olympics live if you ever get a chance
