Would appreciate it if anyone could help. Im staying on the strip.

1. Is there any other sportsbooks worth a damn besides the M and the Hilton. I have never been to either but I have seen them mentioned on these boards many times. Im guessing that the pro's who still bet in town and not soley on the net play at these two places.

2. Lets say Im sitting in Caesars, the Mirage, the Venetian or the Hilton sportsbook and I get a text from my favorite tout to bet Gonzaga under the total. How quickly will they move the line on me? How much can I bet? How quickly will I get booted?

Thank you to anyone with some info.

Total falsehood ! They take large bet in lots of places. Hilton, M, Wynn, Venetian, Palms, Southpoint, and of course the El Cortez !

Caesars sportsbook for Atmosphere ... not sure how sharp the lines or if it's attracting more tourists or not - but way cool watching games there.

Did the Venetian during the superbowl. Damn, that's one small book - they did however have the "live" wagering going on - which was very, very cool - when it worked.

System went down at halftime because it couldn't handle the volume of plays going on. That REALLY sucked.

The Hilton and the M Resort are the last places I would be betting in Vegas.

Vegas has instant payouts and better lines, why on earth would you place online instead?

Why are those the last? Is it because they have the sharpest lines? Seems that all the sharp posters on these forums bet there.

Please explain ! The M and the Hilton are the best for wagering IMHO !
If you live here in Vegas like I do... Why not get the best of both worlds. I get the best futures here in Vegas however.

Yes.

For example a sharp play today was Louisville.

Louisville closed +4 (-123) at Pinnacle. Nearly every other book offshore moved the number to 3.5. The only one's that didn't were retard books (SIA, Bodog, Wagerstreet, WSEX).

M Resort and Hilton had +3.5 on Louisville. M Resort had that as their number all day. They were the only books in Vegas (OK, MGM too) to have them at that number.

You would have an edge at any other sportsbook with Louisville had you bet it in Vegas except for the M Resort and Hilton (and MGM).

Also look at another sharp play, Tennessee on Saturday. All books had +2.5 (-110) on Tennessee. M Resort hat +2 (-110). They're routinely putting lines down a point or a half on sharp sides.

You say except for the M Resort, Hilton and MGM ? MGM includes almost half the Casinos in town becuase they are all on the same computer !
I really don't agree with you at all because what most sharp bettors want is Casinos that have differnt lines and what you are telling me is that the M Resort and Hilton fits that description. Both of these Casinos offer decent futures also ! What constitutes a bad line for one bettor is a great line for another on the opposite side.

MGM is not a sharp book. They just happened to have the line on that game the same as the sharp books (M Resort and Hilton).

Did anyone tell you that the "M" is NOT on the strip? It's a good ten miles from the Hilton and about 7 miles from the Tropicana exit on St. Rose Pkwy.

You should have no problem getting down anything you can hold in your pocket. Since most of the large hotels have large books, just pick one out that you feel comfortable in.

When are you going? For basketball sides and totals everywhere is pretty much the same. Might have different lines, but all are -110

For money lines, baseball and props the strip generally sucks. Of course depending on total amount wagered, it might cost less than the gas it takes to get to the M

In general, Hilton has the biggest board, lowest juice and they are not afraid to take a stand on a game, staying a half-point or a few cents different than anywhere else, Vegas or online. It was possible to take their prop book from the Super Bowl and bet opposite sides with them and online and had a few hundred dollars won before kickoff
