IMO we are getting way too over reactive about every little thing that happens in today's world. While better judgement should have been used it's not a big deal. There are a lot worse things that can happen than a bunch of women drinking beer and puffing on cigars.:drink:

Oh it was terrible, what a bad example, now all the kids watching are going to become alcoholics and smokers.

They're just trying to be like men because they want to be as good athletes as the men. Sidney Crosby and co. should bring them back to reality by offering to play them in an exhibition.

One of the Team Canada players was under the legal drinking age in Canada which was probably the only thing that deserved to be mentioned to the coach that allowed the celebration. Other wise no harm was done, Team USA was long gone, nothing was on TV and there were no accidents.

Tempest in a teapot.

Reminds me of the the time US woman's soccer star Brandi Chastain took off her outer jersey after a big win.
The Woman's World Cup in 1999 when Brandi won the cup with the 5th penalty kick in overtime over China.

She had a halter top or sports bra (call it what you want) on underneath but FIFA still made a big stink over it.

Same rule applies for men, they get a yellow card if they take their shirt off. So at least they are consistent with that.

I honestly don't know for sure but was that a rule in 1999?

The yellow card wouldn't have mattered anyway as the goal Brandi scored was the 5th penalty kick that won the Woman's World Cup ending the tournament that year 1999.

I believe they actually came up with the rule after that incident, to prevent stuff like that from happening. Can you imagine the prudes all over the world if that girl had only been wearing a sexy bra...

But its enforced now, if a player already has a yellow and he scores and takes his shirt off he get another one, and therefore he gets ejected from game. Then suspended for next match. Stupid rule.

Kids are watching the Olympics and look up to these people. Now this is what they think an Olympic athlete is supposed to do? It is a great message: Drink and Smoke it makes you win the gold!
