"I'd like to (retire as a Cub), but if it doesn't happen, I understand that also," said Lee, who will become a free agent after the season. "It's really not a big issue." There is mutual interest, according to Sullivan, but the Cubs surely want to see if Lee can stay healthy as he enters his age-34 season. Lee batted .306/.393/.597 with 35 home runs and 111 RBI in 532 at-bats last season.
