Does anyone think there's value in taking the plus-money side in spring training games? Especially in these early ones where guys with numbers in the eighties and nineties play most of the game the outcome of the game should be pretty random. So it would be kind of like getting an overlay on a coin flip.

I dont think there is any value. Im playing the braves today just for fun, plus the pitching for the mets is going to blow. I think the braves are a little deeper prospect wise

You can make some money in Spring Training games if you closely follow the pitching rotations and lineups and know who is playing. Some teams will start all prospects/minor leaguers in some games and others will start their regulars. Also, the starting pitchers are not nearly as important.

I was thinking that very same thing earlier today. at a glance you would think that the results will be totally random, so why not take the plus side of every game? However, I think these lines may come from the schedules the coaches put out ahead of time as whether they will be playing starters or prospects etc... even then, though, I am skeptical of these lines being anywhere near tight. I am inclined to start tracking these plays. Maybe we can track them right here in this thread, if we start to see some value we can reevaluate at that time.

I don't start betting baseball until they're a good ten games into the regular season

Please feel free. I work weird hours so it's hard for me to check out the lines on those early games in time, but i would be very curious to see what these results look like.
