My wife wants a Kindle for her birthday. I've never looked into
E-readers because I like having hard-copy books.
I know Sony and Barnes&Noble have their versions...
Does anyone have experience w/ the Kindle or E-readers in general?
Any advice on which one to get?
Thanks
FZ
Best bet = wait for the iPad ... that is what I am doing.
Place wagers, check scores and visit therx.com ... and when my wife walks in, I flip over to the e-reader.
You won't want to read on an iPad, between terrible battery life, eye strain from reading off an illuminated display, and size/weight of holding it.
Get an iPad anyway for bedside web browsing and video, but get a Kindle for reading books.
my friends mom has the amazon Kindle. Amazing little thing. You virtually have access to ANY book thats available at amazon right at your finger tips. As far as the reading goes you can adjust the font and font size to whatever you like so you can comfortably read....it also has one of those screens that is glare free. really is amazing. If I was a hard core reader or even a part time reader I would absolutely have one.
