Irish have had an up and down year, with some nice wins over good teams, but some bad losses to teams they should beat....there is no doubt there is talent on the team, but just a couple weeks ago it appeared they would be looking at antoher #1 seed in the NIT, and when Harangody (their all american) went down, there was little doubt the season was on the verge....however, they have since beat South Florida, Georgetown, Pittsburgh and barely lost on the road to Louisville in double OT....they are now on the verge of beating fellow bubble team UConn tonight, and if they do, they will assure themselves a .500 record in the toughest conference in America and 20 wins....would be hard to leave them out at this point if they hold on tonight.......actually a pretty amazing run considering their star has been out of the whole thing, and they lost the first game wihtout him at home to lowly St Johns, but since then, they have played excellent without him...if he were to make it back for the tourney, and you add in these other guys that have gotten some PT, they could be a factor for a couple rounds at least....

big game for the Irish today, and just announced the Harangody WILL PLAY today...line hasnt moved yet though...he'll come off the bench, Coach Brey said, however thats good news for ND...IF they could win this game on the road, they are pretty much in...they lose it, and i think they'll have to win a game or 2 at least in Big East tourney to get in....they can also earn a first day bye with a win ....

well it appears to me that ND has played their way into the big dance today...getting a BIG win on the road at Marquette ( a very tough place to win at )

The knock on ND for the last few years is they get big wins at home, but lose everything on the road....but this year, they have wins at So Fla, Marquette, Georgetown and a double OT loss at Louisville.....

and they are hot at the right time, playing very good ball the last 2 weeks, after basically being written off, and their star came back today....things seem to be lining up nicely for this team, that has a lot of talent, but was looking at just missing the ncaa tourney for a 3rd straight year, and another #1 seed in the NIT......
