This video was before the gold medal game in Hockey. That night was remarkable celebration of immense proportions all across Canada.

I witnessed it first hand in Toronto's Dundas square where all walks of life and all colors were celebrating together.

you can think what you want... had the u.s. won , we would have thought " wow , we won. thats great for us " for about 15 minutes .

then we move on....

its really not that big of a deal...

I'm a patriot and love my country immensely but....

I ask anyone here to tell me what was the last event our entire nation celebrated as passionately as Canada did over a hockey game.

VJ day is the last one I can think of.

thanks for sharing savant...well done Canada.

That video is already a Canadian sensation, I've watched it tons of times and still get goosebumps.

great video. so true when he says "what mattered most was the event". I got a chance to spend 4 days in Vancouver and know exactly what he means by that. It was an atmosphere and experience that I will never forget and probably won't ever experience again.

Canada is the little teenie brother of the USA,
We all now that!
By population, smaller than California.

But our value is huge, and now our national pride is even bigger.

More golds(winners) than the USA is amazing, for any country.
Canada is 1/9 the population of the USA
Even my American cousins in LA were amazed.

The Gold hockey win was the only one that really counted to us.
The rest were gravey.
Hockey does matter to some countries, and harrington is a knob.

When there was an event with no Canadian, I rooted for the Americans, cause they are are my neigbours!

I am so glad I live next door to the USA.

That's all right...we will see how fired up Canada is about the summer olympics and see how many gold medals they win...

But I am glad also to have Canada as our neighbors up North...was a great place to run to in the 60's....
