It's that time of year again! As I've stated in other threads discussing season wins, I love the Giants chances of having a great year. They have one of the best starting rotations in the game and they will be putting up more runs on offense this year. Pablo Sandival is a stud, Fred Lewis will hopefully turn it up this year and Uribe/Sanchez will produce.

For right now, this is what I wagered, but I may add more in a bit.

4* San Francisco Giants Over 82.5 Wins (-105)

I also like the discussions about the Mariners over so:

2* Seattle Mariners Over 83.5 Wins (-130)

Do you know what the O/U for the Nationals is? I'm think there will be value in the over, but would like to see the number

My local has it at 70.5. I do like this play as well, however I lost last year betting Washington over. I got burned which makes me more cautious now. They did make some improvements and they will be interesting to watch. I may lay off of them but haven't decided.

My book here in Reno had the Nats at 63 on the paper but when I got to the writer it was up to 69 so I jumped on it 69, I was really looking for anything under 70.

As a Cubs fan, I really hope you are wrong on the Cards over... Ha!

Washington isn't that terrible of a bet in my opinion because the public will remember the woes of last year and be all over the under (my guess, anyway). They have a potent offense and they did make some improvements in pitching. I expect them to win right around 73-76 games. I'm not too high on this wager which is why I didn't make it a play, but its not a terrible bet in my opinion.

Any opinions on SF or SEA?

2 plays that I like from an eyeball test are
Toronto Bluejays UNDER 70.5
Boston Red Sox UNDER 94.5
I should have time tomorrow to actually research a little further and I'll throw a few plays out, so don't take these 2 as official plays as of yet.

Love the Giants over 82, pitching wins games and they finally have a little more offense than past years. Also like the yankees over 94.5. Considering the Rays under 89.5, angels over 84, and Reds under 79.5

Also on the wagon with the Giants, just seems like too good of a team to not get upper eighties. Other play that I like, not to go against you lakers, but Reds O 78.5. Yes Volquez is out til all-star time, but a team that mustered up 78 wins last year, has the ability for a 85 win team this year. Harang, Arroyo, Cueto with a wild card in Bailey and M. Owings possibly the 5th spot is a very decent rotation. Throw the possiblity of Aroldis Chapman stepping in sometime this season could help. The lineup is clearly better than last year. I love the addition of Cabrera in the infield, and if Bruce and Votto stay healthy, they have a nice 123 shot with them and Philips. Only 2 plays for me, Giants over 82.5 and Reds over 78.5.

must of been recent moves, the local book I use is a large group so everything done on a webiste like a normal betus etc... and it's O 78.5 -125. I personally think they reach 85 wins, but maybe ask around the forum and see if anyone sees a better line at other books.

Good points on the Reds, Donnie. Donnie and I use the same service and its still at 78.5. I may jump on this. As you point out, if Bruce and Votto can manage to stay healthy, they may be a force to reckon with.

last season i had the reds under and i had to wait until the last 3 games of the year to win that bet....i don't think they will have a bad strech this year like they did last .....after the all star break is where i got lucky as they could not win a game....at least thats the way i think it went
