Nothing about income, car, insurance, utilities, food stamps or anything like that. So why is he claiming they will ask us about them?
Personally, I'm not defending the guy. I really don't have any problems answering questions on the census form. But I don't think he was lying about the Census. It seems if I remember right, in the last Census that was taken, there were a lot more than 10 questions to answer. This might have been what got this guy's panties in a wad. He thought they were going to violate his constitutional rights and ask the same prying questions. Mainly, with the video I posted I was just trying to give the Libertarians something to droll over.
The census is so weird. All my buddies got a short questionnaire but they picked me to have the long form which was like a frikkin book, and I didn't have a choice in the matter, had to do the long form. I can't see how that's constitutional to discriminate against certain people and make them do the long form, especially since I was in grad school and working two jobs at the time! So I filled it out and sent it in and they never got it because a few months later I got some calls from this guy saying I still had to send it in. So I finally got in touch with him maybe 5 days later and he tells me that he's no longer on the case and to just wait until I hear from someone else. Fortunately I never heard from anyone else so I guess according to the government I don't exist. I thought that was a lot of bunk though because I know people on probation who had less hassle with their probation officer and this is the government demanding to know I exist when I already pay my taxes!:smoking:
Wow, those are some pretty personal questions they ask! Our census is just age, sex, numbers in the household, religion. Even those I don't answer.
Also, LOL at the Census Bureau refusing to answer the videographer's questions, while asking some seriously private stuff of him. Love the irony!
