Anyone ever go?

I am going to a Hitchcok play tomorrow night, "39 Steps"

Anyone got any feed back on these kinda things? Are they sleepers, or are they doable?

I'm going to get killed for this, but I love Broadway, from grammar school to about age 22 I was a trombonist, I played in a few orchestra pit.

West Side Story, Children of a Lesser God, A Chorus Line, All That Jazz and anything by Bob Fosse are my faves.

That doesn't mean I don't bang my head to ThunderStruck, just means I love live stage music as well.

saw Phantom of the Opera a few months ago and really enjoyed it. The details, props, music are all amazing. Broadway has talent many will never see and that is a shame. Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

The finale to 'All That Jazz'
Bob Fosse is on another planet, he is just that damn good.
Ben Vereen, my God an amazing talent.
Ann Reinking did it all, including marrying Bob Fosse.
If the last 4 minutes here doesn't do it for you, than Jack, you dead.

When I was married, my old lady and myself would catch a few Broadway Shows and then when we lived in California, used to visit the Pantages Theatre a bunch...

Judge Wapner could give you good info about Broadway...the theatre is second nature for that thespian...

Billhill...you have a great musical talent it seems...interesting....

My Uncle Charlie is a world class trombonist, he taught me.
My Uncle Joe was a songwriter and tremedous ragtime piano player.
Ragtime is extremely difficult to play, you got offbeats that are near impossible to master.
My sister was/is an amazing flautist, who teaches flute now.
My wife, has the vocals of robin songbird, incredible range, plays guitar and flute as well.
I got lucky to be born into this music family.

(my autosig is a lyric from my favorite current band, "Killers")

p.s. my favorite musician is Rickie Lee Jones, she gets zero credit for basicly being the best in the world, and 35 years later, still gets it done.

p.s. t/y for the kind words.

No wonder you didn't like the Black Eyed Peas...

You are a musical phenom...

There is a place in the pop world for the BEP's, I repect that, if you are a fan, I respect that, it's all subjective, what's good to some is crap to others.
I'll give the BEP's credit because they have ideas, and they are creative, and they have won multiple Grammys, and they are only one of a few acts to have the number 1 and number 2 singles on the Billboard Top 100 single chart at the same time, so you can't argue their success.
What's the old adage?
"A million people can't be wrong"
You know what I say?
"Why not"

Music phenom, I would go that far, but that was nice of you to say, music lover is more like it. But that was nice of you to say.
I don't play anymore, I just listen now.

But there is a lot of very good music today coming from kids half my age, here is a video from my favorite band
This what I consider great. (and they are about half my age)
This video clip is about his (Brandon Flowers) mom, who battled cancer.
He refers to 'Cindarella" as his mom.
He refers to 'The Devil' as the cancer eating away at his mom.
Listen to the lyrics closely, you'll understand it's about his dad first meeting his mom, his mom then getting cancer "Devil wrapping up his hands"....
Watch his mannerisms as they pertain to the lyrics.
Listen to the chord changes...
This is what I consider incredible, genius.
LIVE, not recorded but LIVE

You'll appreciate this.
