So basically, I want to be able to have a full keyboard and be able to surf the web.

That being said, I ALWAYS break my cell phones because I'm stupid and/or was drinking.

What's a good model that has those capabilities but won't cost an arm and a leg to get a new one when it inevitably breaks?

I don't really want to pay $500 for an Iphone and then have to replace it next month.

They don't cover my stupid friends kicking me in the leg and shattering the screen. Or dropping it in beer pong cups.

I would check out sprint/nextel.
The make some rugged phones, not sure if any have a full keyboard though.
A buddy of mine had a samsung with the pull out keyboard and it took plenty of abuse(he had quite an anger problem)
