Met this guy who blew smoke all the time about how he was a pro gambler, and how he had never worked a day in his adult life. Then one day I found out he was a bookie. It was like finding out one of my favorite players was on steroids.

I would have to agree with you ill, i would also say that a bookie makes more than a professional gambler does. With all the losing bettors out there, it's a nice living as a bookie

Knowing how to make book and doing it right to earn a steady living may not be being a professional gambler but IMO who cares as far as the bookie goes. His goal is to make a good to even excellent living booking bets.

Knowing how to make book properly is not as easy s many think.

What's tough about it? All anyone would have to do is use Pinnacle's lines.

There are different forms of pro-gambling.

If your sole source comes from it, then, well, what else would you call it?

Till you do it, can't really give "expert" advice IMHO

Making a living beating -105 and worse lines makes you a stud. Booking tools at +110 makes you an average joe. Big difference.

Disagree 110%. The vast majority of professional gamblers make a vast majority of their earnings from scalping, middling, and trading games/matches. If you can find someone to lay -110 on a game (+110 for you), you can almost always find the opposite side offshore at +100 or better to ensure you make a profit.

When I think of "booking" bets, all i'm doing is merely trading, as I can conservatively get 10 cents better offshore (American Sports). In tennis/soccer/snooker matches I can always get a 20 cent advantage at BetFair.

I'd love to know how to get hooked up at betfair.
