It really makes a difference if the book is straight up. I used this one guy for about seven years before going online. He is an honest man. He was also very selective with who he booked with. We're still friends.

Like any other business there are good ones and bad ones. Lucky i have two GREAT ones. Don't try to screw them and they won't screw you.

I like my chances of getting my lost wallet back at a bookies convention a lot more than I would at a peace officers convention.

Just like with cake bakers. You have some that are honorable. Some that are crooks. Some that will do right, but only if you're watching.

No different than any other profession or trade.

I agree ,there are some very honorable bookies out there and some scoundrels just like in most businesses ,legal or otherwise.
