Los Angeles Dodgers broadcasting legend Vin Scully is okay after taking a fall and being hospitalized last night.
The announcer was admitted to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center for precautionary reasons after falling out of bed and hitting his head, theLos Angeles Times was told by Dodgers VP Josh Rawitch.
Rawitch said the Dodgers expect Scully, 82, to re-join the team in Glendale, Ariz., at Camelback Ranch this weekend for Sunday's spring training telecast between the Dodgers and Cleveland Indians.
Scully is entering his 61st season as the Dodgers' broadcaster. He is scheduled to broadcast all of the Dodgers' home games, as well as their road games against National League West and American League West opponents.

Sorry to hear about Vin...

One of the all time greats and the last link back to Red Barber...

It will truly be a sad day when Vin is no longer behind the mic...

If one falls out of bed, what does one hit their head on?

:think2:

Sounds like another domestic dispute.

Did Vin get a frying pan to the head?

No. No, it doesn't. It sounds like an 80+ year old man who got up too quickly had a period of dizzyness most likely due to orthostatic hypotension and fell...

But thank you for you keen insight insight into the situation...

It's not looking good for good ol Vin. At that age falls and minor surgeries always seem to lean towards death within a year. It takes too long and uses too much strength for their bodies to repair and heal.
