I must be on a roll or something.

or on Canada's most wanted list?

After going unused for at least a year, I tried logging back into Pinny on Friday, only to find my account "suspended". No explanation.

Went over to matchbook but they weren't accepting Canadian credit cards.

Opened an account at BetFair because I heard they were good for Canadians, and allowed my credit cards. Placed one bet, which won, and my account was closed. Which is probably a good thing because the bet I was trying to place at the time would have lost.

Are my accounts being closed because I'm winning?

Also, no response from Betfair customer service in 14 hours now...

That's strange. I don't think it's cause of that. Plus isn't Betfair an exchange? I doubt they would care what you win. Maybe your credit card company declined the transaction?

I only put in $300 but didn't seem to have a problem, as the transactions were accepted. I could see if it was a larger # then it might be an issue...

and to be clear, on Pinny, I didn't even make a deposit or place a bet, and still my account was closed.

Perhaps becasue I'm an infrequent gambler?

Not sure what it could be.

BetFair doesn't ban anyone from using their website. I'd call them up, and they should give you a viable explanation.

So finally a response from Betfair with a ridiculous request for :
Passport information (I don't have a passport)
Drivers license information (I don't drive, nor have a license)
Utility bill (utilities are covered by condo fees)
Bank statement (I don't get paper statements)
and a photocopy of my credit card.

I thought Betfair was supposed to be Canada friendly?

so I told them to refund all funds including winnings to the credit card on file and once completed I will never use Betfair again.

Sorry guys, stay far away from this book.

I don't know much about Betfair, but I'm sure Pinny will be a viable option, doesn't sound like you beat them out of 6-7 figures, and are not welcome there.

I think I can still login to Pinny, but have not tried in a long time.

I'd try Matchbook....depending on what you bet....they seem to work for many.

best for gameday bets, not opening lines.

My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.

Ridiculous? :think2:

Just because you can't provide the proper information has nothing to do with you being Canadian.

yea. i mean you went like 0 for 6 on offers on their part to provide some type of proof of age/residency. I mean its your fault if anything, all books ask for some form of those id's.

no government id?

no cell phone bill?

Who doesn't have an ID?
Are you one of those people who think the government is spying on you and refuse to support them by paying for an ID?

It has been brought to my attention that you may be dissatisfied with our service. We have extended multiple offers to you over the years and you have had a number of account numbers. Most recently a $500 Scratch Off along and previously a $1000 Test Drive.

We're sorry that we could not meet your expectations that we seem to have exceeded in so many other cases.

If you would like to settle the balance of your account with a transfer or a payout, please let me know and we'll make the appropriate arrangements.

Sincerely,
Mike

I have had at least five customers that were booted at Heritage. Said they were not recreational player. Four of the five is purely a picker with the other a spreader.!~~~!
