Why do people continue to sign up with inferior sportsbooks and then complain when they get slow paid or stiffed??

Just stick with the books who are solid year after year and you will be better off. Large bonuses are a signal that they are begging for money. Successful books don't offer 50-100% bonuses. I've only had one minor issue in the 12 years or so I've been betting offshore and I was never stiffed. Stay away from new books and any book that you hear anything negative about.

This is one of the wonders of the world. I have never been able to figure it out. I guess they are approached by friends that are agents to some of these shady fronts. I have had three spreaders in the last month say they are slow paying me waiting for the funds that they won from some places i have never even heard of. When i asked them why would they sign up with these people it was usually because they were recommeded by a friend. As Viejo aslo mentioned, the bonus whoring has a great deal to do with it. Wouldn't play with anyone that touts that. If it looks like a duck it usually is and if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.I give some of my customers the top five places and they always go elsewhere. I guess they think i'm in cahoots. It doesn/t help me if they don't get their money. I give them nothing but the most reputable.

Some people don't know better.

I remember a few years ago, a neighbor talked about gambling and how he plays at BOS. I told him it was a shit book, but he tried to convince me that he had been paid on time, they took quick deposits, paid for transaction fees on deposits, had contests, had bonuses and so on.

A year after that, he's screwed.

I guess sweating bets isn't enough for some people.

They must also enjoy sweating payouts.

True gamblers.

Reason many play at questionable sportsbooks is they seem money-making opportunities and attempt to take advantage of them. Nothing wrong with that. I have been stiffed at 3-4 sportsbooks over the years (betallworld....betonusa.com...etc) but made nice profits at each one even while getting stiffed. And yes, I complained when they ripped me off and tried everything under the sun to get my balance back.

So, every poster who plays at questionable book is not an idiot who doesn't know better. There are reasons why some books go belly up...players win!

There is money to be made at some of these lesser books if you have the talent to do so. You are taking on more risk by not playing at the more established places, but it's often worthwhile to do so.

If you are a strictly a recreational player, then I would agree that it's better off sticking with the top tier of sportsbooks.

As squeeze said there is money to be made. Getting an extra point on a dog always helps, some books were incredibly easy to beat. If they'd let me deposit again at SIA I'd be there in a minute, but I've been barred from there among some other books.

Squeeze and Kokomo get it - there's tons of money to make off the "shit" books, usually many times what you would off the big dogs. Sure, there was always the risk of having your money fly, but that never happened enough to make it unprofitable. For me it was always a small investment, grow it over time, and take out the initial deposit along the way.

I believe that usually is to take advantege of the bonus.., new books alwasys give better bonuses to bring new customers. Then a customers makes money out of it... and then the problems start...

Truth is, your neighbor was right. They didn't have any problems until the DOJ busted their leader.
