Brilliance. "I mean, I'm not changing," Bradley said Monday amid questions about his ability to keep his head in check. "I've gotten this far being me, it's been 31 years, and nothing changes about me, ever." It seems a lot of people sort of assumed he'd be able to stay calm and collected in the great Northwest, and maybe he will, but he's off to a rough start down in spring training.

I have Seattle over 82.5 wins on my futures.................looks like Bradley is on his way to killing me already. He's always been an a hole, guess he always will be.

Don't read too much into this guys. Bradley obviously has a track record of detrimental behavior, but he was inexplicably thrown out of those games last week. He mutters two words to an umpire and all of a sudden he's Carl Everett. It's almost as if the umpire's have it out for him. His intensity gets the best of him often, but he hasn't publicly been called a "bad teammate" to my knowledge. In fact, from articles I've read, his past teammates in Texas and Oakland even had good things to say about him. I think Seattle will embrace him, and his intensity will prove to be beneficial for that team. Making a transition from a tumultuous situation like the one he was in last year is tough, but I think they're willing to be patient with the guy because they need his production. Still think over 82.5 is a bargain if things go as expected. Just my two cents...

Olenubbs - they said the same thing in Chicago last year with him. That total looks scary low to me, considering the moves they made and the rest of the division getting weaker. The situation he was in last year was of his own doing.

You're right about Cubs fans saying the same thing last year about him. But Seattle is a completely different environment for him, imo. One that's more conducive to him staying out of the spotlight and putting up the numbers he was expected to in Chicago. See, the guy is such a head case that he hears and reads everything that people say about him and lets it affect his play. Definitely the type of guy that goes to a big city with obsessively fanatical fans and cracks under the pressure. Media and fans in Seattle are way more laid back. He's never afraid to speak his mind, but I really think all he wants to do is stay out of the spotlight and fit in with a team. I also think he's in a good situation for that now.

He got ejected this spring for dropping his bat, walking away, and saying "that was terrible." Don't get me wrong he has issues but just like Donaghy and Bevetta had bets on who could T up AI and Rasheed and those kind of guys the quickest, they do have it out for certain players.

They said the same thing in Chicago last year. Cub fans are pretty soft and forgiving. Dont believe for a minute that the Seattle fans expectations haven't risen with their acquisitions.

I think Bradley is an idiot, but that's me. Seems to me that if I had a shaky reputation I would try to stay on the straight line and not make trouble. Hope things are smoother in the regular season - now that my favorite MLB player is with the Mariners (Cliff Lee) I hope the best for that team.
