Seven-year-old Bryson Nicholls has achieved something that most golfers fail to do in a lifetime of hacking round a course -- he scored an elusive hole-in-one, the Geelong Advertiser reported Tuesday.

Bryson's idol, Tiger <NOBR style="FONT-FAMILY: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; COLOR: darkgreen; FONT-SIZE: 100%; FONT-WEIGHT: normal" id=itxt_nobr_1_0>Woods </NOBR>, was six-years-old when he recorded his first ace.

The talented youngster from Waurn Ponds, on the outskirts of Geelong in Victoria, hit his first ace just two weeks after his birthday while playing at the Balyang par-three golf course on Sunday, as he took a shot at hole six.

Accompanied by his father, Leigh, a school friend and her father, Bryson's shot was right on the money.

"He's gone close on several occasions but it's never quite made it," Nicholls snr said.

"Pretty much every time he tees off he hits the green, but this shot was just a little better."

Bryson said he wasn't too excited when he hit the ace and, while he loves playing golf, football was his number one sport.

"I'd put it as football then golf then baseball as my favorite sports in order," he said.
