What is the closest you have come do death by accident?

This might be a too traumatic topic for some people.

I was driving down the highway and a BB pellet was shot at my drivers side window. The glass was entirely shatterred. I was in such shock, I took my eyes off the road and was staring a the shatterred window. My car was out of alignment and without noticing it drifted on to the shoulder going at 60 mph. I looked straight ahead and I must have been 10 feet from hitting a tall wooden sign post straight on. I turned the wheel to the left at the last possible moment. I am not sure whether I would have died or not.

when we were in Vegas at the 2nd bash, i rode in a car with Fishhead driving.......

To put it nicely we went about 20 miles in 4 minutes, i got dizzy, ears ringing, life flashed before my eyes, spasms, cold sweats, and i actually think i vomited in my own mouth.....

however, the scariest part wasnt the ride, i came closest to death when we arrived back at the hotel and I made the mistake of telling Fish, that i didn't think Kirk Ferentz was the best coach in the history of college football....it got ugly then

The first year I started working in the Oil Patch , My supervisor and I were driving in Northern British Columbia at night . 2 moose , if you have never seen a moose these things can be the size of a 1 tonne truck. Anyway my supervisor tried avoiding them but clipped one with the ass end of our truck. It sent us off the road and down a 50-60 foot embankment. Rolled about 10 times before we came to a stop at the bottom. Scariest moment of my life.

One of the reasons I moved back east and am going to school this year.

So many times: Going to sleep on the way back home waking up in the wrong lane meeting a truck, Flying a light plane under a thunderstorm power off, nose down, airspeed in the red, going up at 1000 fpm, Crawling out the mens room window with most of the pool gamblers money in my pocket and them plotting inside.

Driving Up from Florida to NY ( back in 1979 )
Fell a Sleep behind the Wheel in the Right lane of 95 ( 3 lane Hwy )
somewhere in SC.

I Woke up with the Car Spinning in Circles, and Pine Needles hitting the windshield.....Heading Right to a Tree
( Between the North & South Bound )....anyone that knows how that is set up....There is a incline of Grass with Tons of Pine Trees.

Don't ask me How I stopped the Car from Hitting the Tree, but I did.

Anyway, Two Broken Axels, and a 12 hour Delay on my Trip.

Thought for sure i was going to meet my Maker.

was riding on top of the hood of a car and like an idiot i jumped off thinking i would land on my feet.... well my feet hit first then my head... really bad concussion could taste blood in my mouth... i went to bed and didnt tell anybody

no i was running from a girl... just playing around like tag or something... and turned into the street.... one time it was day drinking and i followed my buddy into the street not really paying attention

At Fort Bragg NC when I was in service, a 155 MM Howitzer shot out of the impact area and landed a High Explosive round about 20 yds from where we were located. It left a piece of shrapnel about the 1/2 the size of a car hood directly in a pine tree behind us. It would have torn your head and chest off if it had hit you squarely. I jumped in a bunker when I heard the incomming high pitched buzz. I shit my pants after the fact, because I did not have time to do it as the round was approaching.

Was a second Lt. in the Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa in 1976...My ride back to the island in a CH-46 was leaving and I told my CO that I would take the next one back...the helicopter crashed 20 minutes later in the Sea of Japan...

Just like Betallsports, I fell asleep at the wheel driving cross/country....scarey moment...

Was robbed a few times in Vegas, once with a gun to my head...thought I was done...just bloodied up and beaten..
