Report: Reid says Eagles are listening to QB offers

Eagles coach Andy <NOBR style="FONT-FAMILY: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; COLOR: darkgreen; FONT-SIZE: 100%; FONT-WEIGHT: normal" id=itxt_nobr_0_0>Reid </NOBR> said Wednesday that the team is entertaining offers for all three of its quarterbacks, including starter Donovan McNabb.

Reid discussed the situation during a breakfast meeting with reporters at the NFL owners' meetings in Orlando, Fla., The Inquirer reported.

Reid reiterated that McNabb was his starter, Kevin Kolb the backup and Michael Vick the No. 3 QB but indicated any of them could be dealt. The Eagles have already received feelers.

"We'll go back and look through those ... away from this situation here," Reid said. "There's nothing right now that I'd jump up and down about. But right now there's interest."

Reid said the Eagles have a price tag in mind for each of the quarterbacks.

"I'm keeping my ears open," Reid told the paper.

McNabb threw for 3,553 yards with 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 14 games last year, his 11th in the NFL. He has played all 16 games in just two of the last eight seasons.

Reid also said he'll entertain offers for disgruntled cornerback Sheldon Brown, who had a career-high five interceptions in 2009.

Rumor mill here is cleveland giving up its 1st rounder (7th Pick) for Kolb. Vick or Kolb could go at anytime, but Donovan will be here. The whole point of grabing vick was to have him for a season, throw some crazy plays in and hopefully change some games, bring up his value and get a 2nd round pick for him. I think the eagles arent being offered what they want for Vick at this point. I would love to see the Eagles get clevelands 7th pick in the draft for Kolb, Cleveland has 2 first rounders, the 7th and one in the 20s i believe.

Thanks for the posting.

And given the Browns' stockpile of five draft picks in the top 85, plus coach Eric Mangini's admission that the team has other trade options in the works, there was a feeling that perhaps the Browns still would make a play for one of the Eagles' quarterbacks.
Not so, according to Browns President Mike Holmgren.
"The ship has sailed," he said.
Holmgren still intends to add a young quarterback to the mix that now includes Jake Delhomme, Seneca Wallace and Brett Ratliff.
The Browns have private visits lined up with Tim Tebow of Florida, Colt McCoy of Texas and Tony Pike of Cincinnati. Holmgren has said he expects to complete "four to five" visits with college quarterbacks before the April 22-24 draft.

The problem is that everyone knows they have "three" and are "stuck" so they aren't going to get much for any of them.

Now factor in that Cleveland, Seattle , Arizona and Denver have made their QB moves. San Fran I suppose is an option. But limited options doesn't help the situation.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Donovan McNabb - QB - Eagles Citing "several executives" around the league, NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports that the Raiders may be the team in heaviest pursuit of Donovan McNabb.
McNabb would obviously be a huge upgrade for an Oakland team poised to start Bruce Gradkowski. However, he's not believed to be willing to play for the Raiders, let along sign a multi-year extension with Al Davis' franchise. March 24

I have no idea why any team other than a contender needing QB help would be interested in McNabb.

Not because of the talent, but because he's only got a couple of years left.

Vikings should be the ones working their azzes off to try & get him......

No way McNabb would agree to play for the Raiders.
