Not knocking Heritage on it. However it's $10 to send from US to Nicaragua, etc. Why is it $70 the other way ?

I personally wouldn't pay $70 to get $800, unless it was bail money or something direly needed. I'd wait a few days for the check...just me.

I don't know what it costs the books to send MG, so I can't say the fee is outrageous.

i dont care if it costs them $70 to send it to me

i'm not paying them $70 to send me $800 ever.

If it costs Heritage or anybody else $70 to send it, then charging you $70 is fair. I never cash that way, might if the book covered fees, though.

I like a free payout, will pay at Matchbook though.

most places charge this much for mg or wu, $70 is about the going rate. checks cost 50 i think so if you want it quicker it might be worth the extra 20 bucks

It's ridiculous. Just asked for a $600 payout, $54 or so to get moneygram. That's almost 10%!!!!!

That's what keeps me with locals, agents, whatever you want to call them, I drove to a shopping center yesterday at a predetermined time he and I sit in our cars and exchange pleasantries and he gives me a envelope. I'm back home 30 min from when I left.

I now have my other local down over settle-up so if it holds he will drop by here next Wed. with a envelope.

but you can usually get the check free once a month at most decent places like 5D and Jam, so the MG really costs that 10% or so. I've never been paid that way. It's a redflag if a book offers to pay that way, for free, IMO !

Exception is Matchbook, you'll pay a fair fee for a check $9 or $39.

And skybook.

Only options are to withdraw using WU and moneygram. Fees are roughly 7% of withdrawal amount.

they became bogus when they lost transfers to Greek, IMO.

Still an OK book ( IMO), but not one I can play at.....Similar to Phoenix now, ......no transfers with main books, and you're like "B-" or lower.

Trust (legit) players to rate their experiences at books, not rating sites that might sell out, but once were honest about it....

I need a way to get paid if I win good, that doesn't cost like 10%. :ohno:

I get it , there are two main philosophies on it, Trytrytry rarely withdraws, BTJ wants a fed-ex check after every winner. I'm in the middle, more to the T3 side of things.

Beaner sends a dime, wants a check if he runs it to 3 dimes, with 500-1,000 bets, that's too quick, but this is a dead horse thing.

You don't want all that unneeded paper trail sending the same money back and forth constantly.

Trust your book to 10k if you bet nickels to dimes, then maybe yank 3-5k back if you hit 12K.

None of you seem to understand why it's so expensive to receive and it's simple...

The sportsbooks are simply "taxing" you. They know you want to get paid and you will pay any amount to get your money within 24 hours, checks take up to a week or longer.. Money Transfer seems to be the most preferred by online bettors and these books know that.. It only is supposed to cost $10 to send from anywhere.. It's extra money for them besides all the juice they collect from losing bettors.. plain and simple as that

doesn't it cost a typical book ( say in CR) more to send a check via Fed-ex, than say the $10 a MG may cost ?

I'm not buying this explanation, just yet !

Perhaps it is hard to send for the book,....USD not available or something ?

You wouldn't want to receive this way routinely...either (?)

I think there is a good reason for this, somewhere, here, that is left undisclosed, for a reason.

I'd avoid a book that says they will pay this way ( free), some reason exists for the high reverse fees, even if I do';t know what it is.

MB is covering their ass by saying 7 days, the $39 is Fed-ex ( or similar), you'll get it in like 2 days.

You can't complain if they say 7 days, and you get it in 1-2 days, but you can complain if they say 2 days, and it takes 3 days.

I see no complaints on speed of Matchbook payment, search all the forums....

Never free from MB though....the price of like no vig....you want checks Fed-exed to you, pay for it !

some are dumb enough to pay it

can you blame the books?

Most players have no idea how the money is actually transferred and who is being paid to receive and send money and the reason it is done the way it is .

If you need the money that qucikly pay the fee and be happy you don't have to pay the actual fee it cost the book to do the transaction.

If you think the books are making money sending money back and forth come on down and open a book don't charge any fees and make the millions you think the books are making charging a partial fee to satisfy the customer and continue to run a profitable business.

This topic just drives me crazy.

I always thought it was the processor fee that they were passing on to us.

Those random-ass names that we have to send money to? I'm pretty sure those names come from a third party processing company who *charges* the books that ridiculous fee.

Still sucks when the only options to withdraw are by western union or moneygram...
