badly worded, but tough to title in limited space....

Your current age isn't relevent, more like ....

when does a child develop memory ?

I think one of my earliest memories is a dog bite ( German Shepard), maybe I was 6 or 5 ?

I remember telling my mom , when I was under 8, that I'd put away some , some painting stuff, until I was 8, cause I wasn't good at it, yet !

I don't think I remember anything under 5 years old, to be honest

What's your earliest memory ?

Some memories before I was 3 but not many. Quite a few from like 3 1/2 on.

Until lately, now its tough to remember what I did yesterday.

I'm not pulling up much before 5 ish, pretty much I'm saying I don't remember the first five years of my life....I reckon !

Five is about the youngest, I might claim to remember, and I'm pushing it at that point !

I remember the dog bite around 6, maybe 5 ( German Shepard), little before that !

no way you actually remember doing it. you remember it happening when you were 2.5 because its been beat into your head...

i cant believe any of you guys clearly remember anything before 5 or 6 ...

I agree with 5 or 6, think 4 is pushing things...about the lowest limit, IMO !

I 'll say 5 is maybe average ? My memories of the house I lived in at around 5, kind of are lacking, but begin at the time my parents moved a few blocks away, to a bigger house.

I say 5 is about right.

Trauma can play a big factor in a childs memory. My mother passed away of cancer at age 9 and I have mentally blocked all memories before that point. I have recently became more in tune with myself and have thought about seeing a theropist to see if they can help "open" my memory back up.
