Thinking about buying a Pontoon boat

Anyone have one?

I found a 21' 2008 with 148 hours for only $4800, including the trailer. The pictures look real nice. Its just an entry level pontoon, that's why the price is so low I believe.

Always wanted a boat and its probably not the best time in my life to buy one (2 kids under 2; wife staying home with the kids; just bought 1st house last may, etc...), but shit, you only live once right?

Boats are great... Tons of fun. but they are a pain in the ass too. I have had 3 pontoon boats and loved everyone of them. Great for small kids too. But just remember they are alot of headaches too. If you take care of them you wont have to many problems. If you loan it to someone else you will have problems I don't care if they are the skipper of the love boat or aNavy Seal.

Kayak , I believe. ( with FH). maybe canoe ?

I'm not a semem type, but seems to me a pontoon is boat for calm waters, I think a pontoon boat is more like just a platform, far from a speedboat or such.

I'll exit this thread as I'm not expert or even a semen.
