I need a good tax shelter. any suggestions?

I just finished getting my taxes done and I owe about 7k to uncle sam. Last year was a good year for me financially but I do not want to pay this much out again next years. taxes

H iOutside of buying tax free bonds there are very few shelters anymore. You can look at real estate but thatis afferant type of investment issue. relitivly illiquid. I see you live in Chicago you can buy bonds from any state at tis time. Bodfunds might be dangerous here if rates go up principle goes down. bonds have a maturity date and you principal comes back at that time. Hope this helps heart222
