This guy is ok to follow, but I would warn that many gold bugs, see the world 1/4 full. I have been out of gold trade for the last 100 point run, and consider it dead money for the summer. If the world get's growth correctly, gold will have peaked and heading down from here. My opinion.

you really think the gold bull is gonna end with a whimper?

highly unlikely....likely will see some sort of parabolic spike at the end of the gold bull

just in consolidation mode for now in the long term bull...long term chart looks so healthy.......buy the dips

growth or no growth gold will go up in the long haul.....any "growth" we get from here for at least the next several years will be on the backs of debting, bailing out, throwing band aids on stuff, and "printing" not true healthy economic expansion....

gold calls all this out....gold predicted the financial crises as it ramped from 2000 through now....it wasn't going up cause of inflation...it was going up cause of our leveraged debt bubble that was bound to go pop at some point....and is still predicting more doom and gloom of some kind (whether its inflation, deflationary or whatever doesn't matter) to come as it went to new highs after equities bottomed in march....

I am just hearing too many good things happening, to think that the fear trade is going to work much longer. Say what you want about the U.S., but as the car industry goes, so goes the rest of the economy. I talk to many small mom and pop shops that make parts, etc. for the car industry, they are calling back workers and putting on over-time to keep up. It looks like 1982-83 all over again, so we will see.

as for mom and pop shops in other sectors that aren't backed by government bailouts and such they are still strugglin' mightily...granted they didn't take a plundge as bad as the auto guys did

basically you had a huge plundge in the auto sector and has been propped back to life by government

whereas you have many other sectors that have slowly declined over the course of this mess and are still declining as they aren't deemed "necessary" components of the economy worth propping up and nor were doing anything wrong to get us in this mess to begin with

it is all catching up to us finally

they keep trying to patch up things that just need to go under and learn their lesson....and in the process just wasting taxpayer dollars over the long haul investing with more debt in bad investments that shoulda just failed which is part of the natural cleansing process of recessions

the endless process (been going on since the last depression in the 30s) of being able to prop unsustainable economic practices with more debt has finally caught up to us as we reaching a max debt point as we see currently unfolding in europe

and i guess government and the "printers" and the average joe (who it has the most impact on) are just going to have to find out this fact the hard way
