Another season of baseball is upon us and ready to jump right in with a play on the Sunday Night matchup between the World Champion Yankees and the Red Sox.

CC Sabathia closed last season going at least 6.2 Innings in 9 of his last 10 starts while allowing 3 ER or less in 9 of 10 starts and 1 ER or fewer in 6 of those 10 starts as well. The Yankees were 3-1 in Sabathia's 4 starts vs Boston last season including 2-0 at Fenway. CC did not close the Spring well and was rocked in the Yankee opener last season.

Josh Beckett closed last season allowing 3ER or more in 8 of his last 10 starts and while he had three quality starts against the Yanks last year, those three quality starts were sandwiched by two atrocious outings in his first and last starts against the Yanks, both at home. In those two starts he allowed 19 hits, 16 ER and 7 Gopher balls in only 13 IP!!!

The bottom line is that the Yankees have their swagger back and won 9 of the last 10 meetings a year ago.

I think the Yankee offense is even better this season with Curtis Granderson and Nick Johnson and the Yankees as a dog is just a no-brainer for me with their ace on the mound.

$300 to win $315 on NYY(+105) @ 5 Dimes
