I am going to try to give it a go to keep track of the first inning runs scored in each game. I can't 100% guarantee I'll be able to follow it all the way due to my schedule but will do my utmost best to give it the best effort. Afterall it is a long season and a lot of work not to mention the grind that comes with it.

The way I am going to do it is to give the total runs scored for both teams in the first inning to both teams for that day.

Example today in the Cubs/Braves game it was 6-3 Atlanta after the first so both teams will get a total of 9 given to them. I have used and followed this system before and have done pretty well with it.

I won't recommend units or anything like that just what I see going on and the trends associated.

So far this young season there has been at least 1 run scored in every game that has been played or in action now with the exception of the Yanks/Boston yesterday and the Colorado/Milwaukee game. So 8 of 10 have at least 1 run in the first. This will drastically change as the season moves forward.

Hopefully we can make some $$ with this but keep in mind nothing is guaranteed.

Feel free to comment but please keep it positive as there really isn't a reason to be negative about anything.

11 of 13 games today had 1 run or more in the first inning.

Season total 11 of 14 to date.

Once more data is put together, I'll post a spreadsheet.

Great idea. I love no runs in the houston astro ballpark, not only because houston batting usually sucks ,but there is usually a shadow in play in afternoon games and its a tough park to hit in,especially center field. Love san diego park as well, but Padre pitching doesnt have peavy and they should be awful this year so it may be tough to determine anything this early. If I am not mistaken san francisco has shadows as well in play.

there was guy who did this a year or two back, was really good at picking them as well, maybe doing a search on this site for thread with terms like first inning run/no run plays may help and covers has great historical stats as well.thanks for doing this..

Good info, that's what this topic is all about. With such limited info it will take several days of games to see if any streaks emerge. I would think for now that runs will be scored early. If 11 of 14 games had first inning runs against the teams "ace" what is going to happen as we get deeper into the rotation. Something to think about early on.

Also if we can compile a list of sbooks that offer betting on first inning that would be great.

This is a really tough bet in my opinion great when u win cause its over in 20 minutes, but so tough to call. Great pitchers against the heart of the lineup anything can happen. If u can find a way to make some coin doing this, I would love to see it man, thanks for the hard work and good luck on your plays!!:toast:

Remember it's not always a bet that it will be scoreless. Hopefully something good will come out of the data once we get more of it. Good luck this season.

If i were to play one of these today I would take YES, a score in the first in the angles, twins game. Pretty good top of the lineup on both teams that hit for high average against 2 pitchers that could have cold starts. just my 2 cents, good luck man

Day 3 of MLB complete.

Score in the first inning today went 3-4.

For the season 14-7

American 7-3
National 7-4

American

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

LAA (2)
MN (2)

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

None

National

Teams have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

None

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

Houston (2)
San Fran (2)

Keep in mind that so far there hasn't been a series completed. A new series won't start between teams until Friday as the third game of series ends on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Still looking for a list of books that offer first inning prop lines, step up and be interactive, this won't work unless we are all involved.

Thanks

So far we have established that 5 Dimes offers First Inning Lines. What other sportsbooks offer these props? Step up to the mic say the sportsbook accept your applause and thank you for your contribution.

Day 4 of MLB complete.

Score in the first inning today went 9-6.

For the season 23-13

American 11-6
National 12-7

American

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

CWS (2)
CLV (2)
TX (2)
TOR (2)

LAA & MN Streaks ended at 2

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

None for the second straight day.

National

Teams that have a multiple streak in runs scored in first inning:

COL (2)
FL (2)
LAD (2)
MIL (2)
NYM (2)
PHI (2)
PIT (2)
WAS (2)

Teams on a multiple 0 trend:

Houston (3)
San Fran (3)

We have our first 3 streak to start the season, these streaks can continue on Friday as SF is home to Atlanta in an afternoon game and Houston host Philadelphia. We may see our first streak of 3 straight games with runs in the first in both leagues tomorrow. Some early start times for a lot of the teams involved and the 3rd pitcher in the rotation.

Without knowing what the odds are I would play the following:

LA/Pit to score in the first inning.

I went to 5 Dimes but didn't see any lines available for Props or First Inning, perhaps they release them in the morning.

If someone has the line, please post it and where from. This will be my first official pick for the season. All plays will be equal and to win or risk 1 unit.

Feel free to comment, after all this is your thread.

Thanks Hoopmaster22, do they release them in the morning, I only found their normal array of lines available. I didn't see a prop tab anywhere.
