So I took advantage of the $250 for $250 cash bonus. I turned it into $2400 by basically winning every bet I made. By no means am I a good bettor. They have already lowered by limits to $250 a game. Is this an indication they think I am a stud or just want a slower way for me to reach my rollover? I hope it isn't part I because they are mistaken if so

yeah that do that sometimes if you go on a winning streak. if you are still trying to meet the rollover it makes it much more difficult to do

I had no intention of meeting the rollover and getting out either. I basically just made the deposit to bet on the final four and then mess around with the Masters and NHL/NBA playoffs. Oh well I probably shouldnt be betting that high anyways so could be a blessing.

First, of course, congratulations on your success with Phoenix. What happened may have come a little too soon but you have to realize that books are not in the business of giving money away. Books have to make a profit and are run by people who watch who takes their money and who gives them money. They like the second kind a lot better. They have what are called "risk management teams" and when they determine that one of their bettors is, or even may be, of the second type they take some action. At what point such actions are taken varies widely by book but you can be sure that they all watch you. If they don't they usually don't stay in business very long. It used to be with the -110 juice that books did not have to be that careful. Averaging 4.5% gross profit on whatever you book is a pretty good margin. Times have changed however. There is a lot of competition and places like Phoenix have to offer -105, offer bonuses, sponsor promotions etc. The result is they have to be more careful with who they take bets from since the only way to control their main expense, how much they pay out, is by controlling who bets with them. Of course there is a sucker born every minute and the world still goes around.

This is too quick.

Guy runs $500 up to $2400, going maybe 5-0 or 6-0, by the sound of it. This is at full vig also.

You can't really tell how good a guy is in 6 bets....unless he was on the right side of major line moves every time....doesn't sound like it.

Books have to protect their bottom line, just like any business.

They are VERY generous with promotions and bonuses.

Not many here bet over $250 on a regular basis.

I'm sure if you call in your plays, and are not betting steam, you action will be accepted

This is probably the 4th time or so I have deposited while they have a nice promotion, and I have still yet to make a withdrawl.

I had Butler and under/Duke over to get things going. I won on both dogs in the women's final four. Then went 4-1 yesterday in baseball. Like you said I am no wise guy. Just on a decent run.

terps you sound almost EXACTLY like me (since doing the $250 for $250 I'm up to about $3,000 myself. Haven't lost a wager since baseball started. No limits cut yet...

My 4th deposit or so too, always getting a great bonus. They should see I'm a loser overall???

Did you try to lose the $500 on the first bet, while betting the side you liked elsewhere ?

Do that twice, and you have a 2k+ balance in 2-3 bets.

BP should look at if these bets beat the closing line ( by a lot), if not ( as I suspect), book the bets to your normal limits....Sheet, BP could always layoff your $500 or $1,000 bet....if they are afraid of you. They are getting +110, afterall. Or adjust the line because a guy is on a 6-0 streak for nickels. @):)

No I didn't try anything like that. I do not understand how you could get to 2K with that method? Lets just say for instance you bet 1 side for $500 and another side for $500. One balance would be 1K while the other 0. Maybe I am missing something here.

You're the first one in line with these free offers.

Why are you negative all the time?

You ain't missing a thing, terps.

I don't know BP limits.

Bet the $500 at BP, on one side, $500 at MB on the other side.... you want the BP side to lose....it wins.....

now $1,000 at BP, bet it all on one side, take the other side at MB, lose....now you have 2k at BP, failed to scalp the bonus.....doesn't make you sharp....actually the opposite.

You can't lose when you try to lose !

The guy that bets that $500 into BP, and loses it ( successfully) is sharper.

Really? Im the last to know about these offers and the first not to give a fuck. I dont know where you got me being first in line for an offer like this. If you read the $250 for $250 thread started by BetPhoenix, youll see that I was against BP as a book before this offer. Now you see why I had problems with BP. Glad im not the only one.

Agreed. Sounds very premature to me. Especially if you were betting the final four, NBA, MLB, and the masters. I could see if you were betting the limit on obscure polish soccer totals and consistently winning, but being limited after a initial win streak betting final four basketball?

I love BP, but :ohno:

They are readily available on the boards, great bonuses, good customer service, etc.....what's not to like?

they cut your limits, play at the limit, or move else where. sheesh

lots of these are attention look at me threads, "I WON!" Which is cool, I use to do that.

I don't think anyone is "against" BP. They are a solid, honest book who gives good benefits to their players.

However, it seems a little premature to cut limits on individuals winning on FINAL FOUR BASKETBALL after a week, especially when they are trying to meet a large rollover. It's a snake move and it reeks of something BETUS would do.

Again, he wasn't betting the limit on obscure soccer matches or challenger tennis, but wagering on popular events which shouldn't warrant a lowered limit after a week of action.

I still like BetPhoenix and they are a good out, but i'm surprised to hear they would do this. Then again, I seldomly play there.
