Sammy Shop Chinamen. Everytime I order Sammy Shop food the delivery takes 20-30 minutes. Then I get a big BANG at the door im like WTF. I open the door and the Sam Shop CHinamen is looking at me wrong as fuck. So I look at him and give him the exact ammount not a dime more. I couldnt give a fuck if they dropped the food of for me delivery isnt a fucking job.

if you get food delivered to you, you should tip the driver unless the company charges some crazy delivery fee.

as for tipping id probably just keep it to your waitress, food delivery person, hair stylist, and anyone that really goes out of there way to help you with something in a given situation. Id also say tipping your cook is a good idea if you go to the same place alot, espically if waitresses there dont tip out other people

I think a food delivery is worthy of a tip, esp. if you plan to ever order again from the same place.

The guy drove the shit to your house, not like a bartender that walked 10 feet and uncapped a beer

How do you do that....walk into the kitchen , and duke the guy ?

How do you know how tips are distributed ?

I often as my waiter or waitress if they have to split tips amongst them all.

I understand the reason behind it is because some may get stuck with groups throughout the day and/or night that doesn't tip well, while others may get the big tippers, but I just don't believe in it since you since you have some waiters & waitresses who are more deserving of bigger tips vs some slackers.....

Yes, tip your delivery guy. I use to do it as a second job. And yes they do remember who tips well and who doesn't.

And next time you order, if your food is going out with a batch of 4 you will be the 4th to receive it. No matter when your order was placed.

hair stylist.. in general...

the girl that cuts my hair charges me 20 bucks . i started paying her 25 from day 1 .

she does a great job , washes it when she's done and i like her very much as a person.. so all that is worth an extra 5 i suppose...

i've had other girls cut my hair that didnt deserve being paid at all..

If you don't want to get an additional free topping as well....can't stiff the pizza guy, I'd say $3 on a $15 order is acceptable, not great, but OK.

I can see not tipping at Dunkin donuts, but a guy that drove to my house, gets a tip.

doug its pretty simple, just make conversation with your waitress and ask her if waitresses get to keep all there tips or if they have to tip out others also (id only do this if you eat at the same place alot). I cook in a restaurant and we have alot of regulars we can be jammed on a friday/saturday but i see you come in and know what you will be eating, so i start your meal saving you a ton of time or making sure you get your food exactly how you like it etc. i know one of the guys that use to come in like once a week gave me and his other regular cook $50 gift cards each around christmas.

as for carry out id still tip the waitress a couple dollars (not as much as if you ate in the restaurant), but they still check to make sure all your food is there and correct, have to go get whatever sauces or utensils or special items you might have requested in your order. Plus they are often paid the same rate as ones working the floor with all those tables

????? Really???? Last I checked I pay for the food not for gas.

Well do you tip or stiff if you dine at a restaurant ?

Some jobs are tip dependant....like waitress, delivery driver.

Don't tip the UPS driver, but tip the person delivering your food.

What about poker dealer I've never been to a casino but I hear people say the winner is supposed to tip the dealer after every hand, thats the biggest load of shit I've ever heard and I would not do it.
