It serves as a not-so-subtle reminder that 15 days before the start of the 2010 NFL Draft, one of the all-time greatest busts is back in the news.

U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook said on Monday that former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers must pay back $6.1 million of the $9.1 million signing bonus he received from the team after being drafted in 2003, according to the Associated Press.
Rogers was the second-overall pick in the 2003 draft. He lasted only three years in the league, catching just 36 passes for 440 yards and four touchdowns in nine starts before washing out.
However, that didn’t keep the former Michigan State standout for getting his name in the papers, most notably for drunk driving and probation violations.
You can put him right up there with Ryan Leaf and a host of other former top picks who came nowhere near fulfilling their potential at the professional level.
Rogers’ lawyer, Michael Cafferty, says the former Lion would like to play football in Canada.
Good luck with that.
