If you guys haven't tried the food cooked from one of these you have to try it. By not cooking with direct flame on the meat it keeps the meat so tender and moist. It's a night and day difference. You don't have the flare ups, your burners aren't exposed to the dripping of grease, and you don't have to keep an eye on it every 5 min. One of the better things I have bought recently.

Anyone have one of these?

I was thinking about buying one. Some of the reviews say they are constructed of thinner steel than most. Another problem I've heard is that it's tough to clean because of all those small holes.

The cleaning is easy. You just pull the racks(which are made with a powder coated material that won't rust) then just wipe out underneath with a wet rag. Very simple, mine doesn't have the small holes you are speaking of. Also there is a cleaning setting on the grill which makes it really hot to make this easier.

Not sure exactly what you meant by this I guess. You said they break down after 10-12 uses, I said I have used it over 14 times so I'm over that mark. Am I missing something?

Try cooking bison or elk on it

Fishhead is the local instigator. He means no harm. He's probably just giving you a hard time.

can you still get a good crust on the outside of a steak?

Absolutely. What I have been doing is cooking them on low heat for awhile and then there is a setting to sear which i do at the end. Gives the steak that perfect outside crust without taking the moisture from the middle. The grill puts some mean looking grill marks on the meat!

Looks like a good grill. I like my old trusty propane grill though. Wait till she dies before I buy another one. Can only use it here 7 months of the year anyway

interesting I might have to check this out.

A store that I used to run looked at a counter-top infrared cooker, and it worked reasonable well, but it was poorly constructed and so I passed on carrying it - but that was probably 4 years ago or so.
