MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A district attorney in Georgia plans to announce whether charges will be brought in a case of sexual assault accusations against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

District Attorney Fred Bright said in a statement Friday that he had reviewed all the investigation reports and will hold a news conference Monday to announce a decision.

Authorities earlier this week wrapped up their investigation into a 20-year-old college student's claim that the two-time Superbowl champion sexually assaulted her early March 5 at a club in Milledgeville.

No charges have been filed. Roethlisberger's lawyer, Ed Garland, has disputed the assault claim and hired his own team to investigate.

No matter what the result is, Ben has to make better decisions. At the level of celebrity status he is at, he simply cannot go this route. It's OK to party and chase tail for a single guy his age, but he is asking for trouble by going about it the way he has been lately.

That being said, I am a Browns fan, so if it has put the Steelers in disarry, I am all about it.

I'm thinking that they are allowing the media time to get down there and organized or else it would be a frenzy if they just came out and announced it.

If they set a specific time to announce it, it seems to be that they would be filling charges.

I agree, but if they put his butt in jail, it will make making better decisions a whole lot easier! LOL

Not if it was You or Me :drink:

Probably not, but then again I can't afford the type of attorney he can. When it comes down to it, the rich can afford the lawyers that get them off.

A 20 year old drunk girl wouldn't target either one of you.:dancefool

I'm sure the women aren't targeting the athletes either, more like their wallets.

What the hell would they have charged him with? Some drunk chick claims he fucked her? Good luck proving that in court.

Better question is why does this or any DA need a press conference?

I don't understand posts like this. Guy goes to the bar and has some beers. He has hired security because he is a celebrity. Go what route? Asking for trouble? Guy goes out and has fun and some chick makes stuff up about him. Could happen to any of us.
