If you owe money, file your return on time. Or at least file an extension reporting that you owe money.

There will be an interest charge for paying late if you don't pay by April 15.

However, the penalties change dramatically. If you file on time but pay late, the penalty is 1/2 of 1% per month. If you file and pay late, the penalty is 5% per month. You can save 4.5 % per month in penalties by filing on time or by filing an extension reporting that you owe money.

My damn CPA is dragging his feet. I call to find out where my return is, I sent it to him 1.5 months ago.

Secretary says there is a note wanting to know how long I have been incorporated. I said, gee, he has done my taxes the last 3 years, he should know that.

As I have it, I am going out of town on Wednesday, April 14th. for a week.

Payment has to be received correct by the 15th, not just post marked?

That's why I do my own. CPA's get overwhelmed and only have so many hours.

Come to think of it, how is willie even able to post here this week?
