My 1st Ex Wife looked like Dixie Carter to the tee. I told her so on several occassions. She was sophisticated and eloquent like Dixie Carter also. I always thought Dixie Carter was one pretty lady.

wow, very sruprised to hear this.....my mother loved Designing Women ......was her favorite show on at the time, and we watched it at home all the time.....and you are right, she was a VERY pretty lady and always very classy looking and well dressed....of course, that went along with her character on that show.......glad she and Delta Burke made up before she passed......

the best part of that show was when Julia would get fed up and go on one of her rants...t.hey called her the "terminator" and once u set her off, it was on....this is one of her best ones, after she hears a pageant winner making derogatory remarks about her sister's weight gain....
