A buddy of mine decided to enter poker tournament in A.C.He got knocked out of tourney at 10.00pm....He decided he would drive home from A.C.
Its about a 2 and a half hour drive....On the way home he noticed a state trooper vehicle in front of him in the middle of a 3 lane highway. He decided to stay behind the vehicle at a safe distance.Eventually the police vehicle moved to the right lane....My buddy passed...The police vehicle then got behind him, followed and pulled him over.He was asked if he was drinking....He replied no,I was in Atlantic city gambling,I don't drink and gamble...The troopers administered a sobriety test, which he passed.
The troopers then give him a ticket for tailgating a police car.It seems to me these guys were going to get him for something no matter what. This is considered a moving violation and points on your record. It seems like a petty charge. My buddy's going to plead not guilty to charges.Does he have a chance on beating this ticket.

Hmm, Not sure how you can fight it. Even the onboard Camera I think only points to the front of the Car.

But I would Try...

yeah, seems like a petty charge....I guess he figures he's got nothing to lose pleading not guilty....His biggest worry is his insurance rates getting bumped if found guilty.Ive never heard of anyone getting a ticket for tailgating,I can see it if it caused an accident.
