Los Angeles Angels
-The Angels open their first road trip of 2010 with stops in New York and Toronto. The Halos were tied for the MLB-lead (Phillies) with 48 road wins in 2009.

New York Yankees
-The Yankees have dropped the opening game of each of their two three-game series this season, only to take the final two games on both occasions.

-2B Robinson Cano has hit safely in each of the Yankees' six games to start the season, owning a .364 combined batting average over the last two Aprils with 7HR and 22RBI.

-Detroit enters today's game leading the American League with a .295 batting average and .388 on-base percentage. The club is second with 40 runs scored and tied for second with 33 walks.

-The Tigers have turned 13 double plays in the club's first seven games of the season - the most among all AL clubs.
