For CONSISTENCY's sake, yes. There are two levels: if you get charged, and if you don't. He has several of the latter, and should take a game or so in timeout. Just like every one else has done over the last couple of years.

It's really not too hard of a decision, for CONSISTENCY's sake.

I agree with this post. Just because he is not being charged is no reason to just let him get a pass. Plus Big Ben need a good wake up call!:toast:

He should get a one game suspension for that mullet he was sporting at his statement press conference.

This.

I don't think 75% of these guys should be suspended, to be honest. However, if Supreme Rule Goodelll is suspending everyone else, Ben should be as well.

Personally, I could care less if my team was filled with rapists, murderers, arsonists, and rapists. I just want them to throw touchdown passes, score runs, make saves, and dunk the ball. It's always amusing how much shit I take when I let a loss by my team(s) affect my mood ... "You shouldn't get upset, they don't put food on your table!"

Yet, when one of the players on my team cheats on his wife, suddenly I should give a hoot about their moral standing in life. No. I don't care. Catch the ball and all is forgiven.

Drop a touchdown pass and I hope you go to jail. :)

what has he done??

He done 'did' an underage drunk woman in a micro bathroom while his cop goons guarded the door. He will get two games but after that Pittsburgh will unload this bad Karma sleaze baggage because they don't want to be the Raiders of the east with thugs roaming empty stadium seats.

Where there is smoke there is fire. 2 accusations have been made. You know there are more who haven't come forward. I'm guessing a 1-4 week suspension is going to come down and the Rooneys will be looking for a new qb for 2011.

A strong rumor that a high powered atty from the boston area was looking into another incident involving Ben, also in vegas. Question? Do you think any money was exchanged in the case in Georgia, lol?

Mos def. The GA girl will likely be deposed in the Tahoe suit that is still ongoing.

This will be the 2nd incident in vegas involving Ben along with the one in Georgia, totaling three, sounds like he has a real bad character flaw. You think he would also clean up his image ,as he looks dirty, needs a haircut & the clothes he wears leaves a lot to be desired as he looks like a bum. Maybe he cleaned up to meet with the nfl commissioner today.

What has he done?

He had a few beers and banged some chick who had a few beers - 95% of the NFL's fan's have done that. Who cares.

I suppose you could say he bought a shot for some 20 year old chick, but in my view, if I'm at a bar and buy a drink for a chick, I'm assuming the bar checked her age.

No charges being filed by DA/police so why should The NFL feel they are empowered to punish Ben?. Players are not saints (even The Saints) young guys in their 20s like women which when you mix in the fact that many, if not all are millionaires will lead to the occasional public scandal.

Nothing new, old timers (and HOFers) like Bobby Layne, Paul Hornung, and Jim Brown along with many others were extraordinary hell raisers in their day.

I know two wrongs do not make a right but for decades star players have been targets of gold diggers and con men.

The reason why the NFL should 'punish' big Ben is because it is an entertainment business and the punishment wouldn't be jail time (like some marijuana blunt smoking terrorist getting hard time) but instead be a punishment of one or two appearances on the NFL entertainment stage. How does the 'players are not saints' logic work with an NFL athlete strongarming a young woman in a bathroom with guards on the door? This has nothing to do with hell raisers from the old days. This has to do with a modern rich powerful notorious athlete pounding on a woman. I am surprised that imprisonment or kidnapping charges were not involved.
